Tough times have pushed brands to tap into new markets in order to grow revenue. Would you say it’s pretty risky when you look at how saturated the hardgood snowboarding market is?
Well some brands go for it. World Industries just launched World Girl Snowboards. Considering they have the distribution and the financial back up, it is quite a smart move to launch at this time and start marketing the brand when everybody else is cutting back on their marketing budget. But they can’t forget that it is a sensitive time when everybody is afraid to consume, and this is only the beginning of it.
